• Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft microfiber cloth after wear to remove oils, dust, and fingerprints.
• Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and mild soap for occasional cleaning.
• Dry the watch thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.
• Avoid bleach, chlorine, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and household cleaning products.
• Do not use polishing compounds unless specifically recommended by the watch manufacturer.
• Light surface marks may develop over time with normal wear.
• Titanium can show cosmetic marks differently than stainless steel because of its lighter weight and surface characteristics.
• Always follow the water resistance rating listed by the manufacturer for your specific watch.
• Water resistance is not permanent and can decrease over time as seals and gaskets age.
• Make sure the crown is fully pushed in or screwed down before water exposure.
• Do not operate the crown, pushers, or other controls while the watch is underwater unless the manufacturer specifically states that it is safe to do so.
• Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and very hot showers, as heat and rapid temperature changes can affect the watch seals.
• Have the water resistance checked periodically, especially after battery replacement, case opening, or service.
• Store your watch in a clean, dry place when not in use.
• Keep it separated from other jewelry or watches to help prevent scratches.

Understated yet quietly commanding, the Frederique Constant Manufacture Classic Date (ref. FC-706B3H6) is a Swiss automatic watch that lets an all-black sunburst dial and an in-house movement do the talking. Its stainless steel case has been trimmed to a versatile 40mm, and the dial skips numerals altogether in favor of slim, diamond-faceted applied hour markers inside a railtrack minute circle. Silver-tone markers and diamond-cut hands flash against the deep black surface, the markers at 5 and 7 o'clock are subtly shortened to make room for the date at 6 o'clock, and an onion-style crown at 3 o'clock adds a dash of vintage personality.
Beating inside is the FC-706, a Manufacture caliber developed and assembled by Frederique Constant in Geneva. Running at 4Hz with a 72-hour power reserve, it holds three full days of energy, so you can take it off on Friday evening and still find it ticking on Monday morning. Its bridges were reworked around a larger barrel and finished with beading and fan-shaped Côtes de Genève, the kind of detail that rewards a closer look. A black alligator strap with a push-button folding buckle completes this tonal, sophisticated design, while anti-reflective sapphire crystal and 50 meters of water resistance keep it ready for the office, a dinner reservation and everything in between.
Frederique Constant was founded in 1988 by Aletta and Peter Stas, an entrepreneurial couple who shared a passion for watchmaking. Headquartered in Geneva, Frederique Constant has long aimed to make high-end Swiss-made watches available at more accessible prices. In 2004, it joined the ranks of Swiss watchmakers that develop and produce their own in-house calibers, and today its Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, designs, develops and assembles more than 30 in-house calibers, including tourbillon, perpetual calendar and flyback chronograph complications. Frederique Constant celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2023.
The Classic Date belongs to Frederique Constant's Manufacture collection, the family of watches driven by calibers developed and assembled in-house in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva. Its latest generation, introduced as three new steel models, brought several major updates: the case went from 42mm down to 40mm, the dial dropped its numerals in favor of slim faceted markers, and the new FC-706 Manufacture caliber replaced the legacy calibers, lifting the power reserve from 38 to 72 hours while beating at 4Hz. The bridges were redesigned around a larger-capacity barrel, and the previous circular decoration gave way to fan-shaped Côtes de Genève.
